La Quinta By Wyndham Vancouver Hotel, Vancouver

For my daughter's big 10th birthday celebration, I stayed at this moderate-rate hotel that was quite good. The rooms had a chair that I could sleep in, and the open door added a nice touch, but the absence of a rollaway left something to be desired.

Our stay at this hotel was overall enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and featured a fridge and microwave, which was convenient for traveling with kids. However, we did find a guest's sock under the bed. The location was quiet and away from the highway, but there was a narrow pinch point by the silverware area. The service was outstanding, with friendly and helpful staff showing us their cleaning practices using a disinfectant spray bottle. The dining options were varied and delicious, although a bit crowded. The facilities were well-maintained and clean.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, although some aspects were not ideal. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and the staff were welcoming. However, the noise from Interstate 5 was a downside. The breakfast had a good selection, but the dining area could be improved.

The hotel has its strengths in friendly service and a convenient location but falls short in room maintenance and dining variety. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel offers a fair value for money overall.
